Ryanna is an accomplished home cook who derived much joy from food, especially making and eating fresh pasta, which she studied at the Apicius Culinary School in Florence. But as she sought to get to the bottom of her deteriorating health and her son’s extreme colic, she realized that food, namely gluten, was closely linked to their every symptom.

Ryanna opened GRUB, a place for Community Food Education in Wilmington NC which offers classes, workshops and support both at the GRUB House and throughout Southeastern NC

Author, Writer, & Food evangelist: convinced we can make the world a better place by voting with our forks. Linda started the Cook for Good project after becoming obsessed with the national Food Stamp Challenge: living on a dollar a meal per person for a week. Her three-week experiment became a lifestyle, this website CookforGood.com, the book Wildly Affordable Organic, and now the Wildly Good Cook videos and teachers' training program. Linda's story took a romantic turn recently when she wrote the spoof Fifty Weeks of Green: Romance & Recipes. She teaches cooking classes and gives talks on thrift, sustainability, and creating your dream life across the country.

Andres Pastrana opened Coffee & Crepes in Cary's Crossroads Plaza over 10 years ago with the mission of making fresh, authentic European style crepes and locally roasted, fair trade, organic coffee. It is a happy coincidence that crepes made with gluten-free buckwheat are both classic and authentic! Chef Andres will demonstrate the art of making and spinning crepe batter into delicious sweet or savory crepes.

Kelly Bourgeois
Recording Artist/Songwriter

Diagnosed with a wheat allergy has been gluten-free since 2010.  He is the singer, lead guitarist for his band, The Mosquito Legs.  They have been playing together for over 4 years.  Kelly is a prolific songwriter and has been recording this summer with producer, John Custer.  He is in his second summer working as a lifeguard at the local pool and enjoys singing in the Cary High School Concert Choir and the Symphonic Band.  Kelly plays drums, piano, violin, clarinet,  guitar and writes about issues facing young people.  His music has been described as "mystic, massive and visceral" for his young age of 17.  The Mosquito Legs have played at marathons, movies-in-the park, battle of the bands, music halls, and school assemblies.  Kelly loves performing and proving that you can be a "cool rock dude" with a gluten-free lifestyle.

Debbie has a passion for coaching individuals with Celiac Disease, non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity and IBS due to her own diagnosis of Celiac in 2006. She has served as the camp dietitian during “Gluten Free Week” at Camp Kanata 2007-2010.  Debbie writes about living gluten free on the “Gluten Free Durham Blog” and provides educational seminars for both medical professionals and the community.

Andrasik has earned a M.B.A. from Capitol College in Laurel, MD and is currently serving as an Army officer with a unit in the Maryland National Guard.
